When Windows Phone 7 came, it poked our curiosity. Metro Design and Live Tiles gave a fresh perspective as to how a mobile platform can be different, be intuitive and look delicious.
But beyond the beautifully designed UI, Windows Phone 7 fell short in the features and apps department. The simple UI had also delivered an overly simplistic feature set. Those who are familiar with Android, BlackBerry, iOS and even Symbian can’t help but feel that Windows Phone severely lacked many of the features that are already standard on the other mobile platforms.
Mango is expected to change all this and bring the Windows Phone platform on par with its competitors. This latest video best illustrates what Mango will bring to the table and whatever your mobile platform affinity is, Mango is certainly something to look forward to, simply because it’s different and it looks good. All it needs now is a full set of features and apps to make it pop!
