During our recent trip to Japan (courtesy of Sony Ericsson) we noticed that Windows Phone are as prominent as Android and other Japanese feature phones in the market there. Things are decidedly different here in Malaysia.
If Microsoft marketeers here were to promote Windows Phone as enthusiastically and interestingly as the guy you see in the video right after the jump, perhaps we would be able to see more people totting Windows Phone devices.
Alas…this is not the case. In Malaysia, the Windows Phone platform still has a massive chasm to cross to even be in the same playing field as the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry.
Let’s hope when the next wave of Windows Phone devices arrive with Mango in tow, the Microsoft Malaysia are ready to sell! sell! sell! At least there’s the marketing prowess of Nokia that the local Microsoft boys can tap into.
What are your thoughts on the Windows Phone platform?
