Celcom has revealed that it is offering the BlackBerry Playbook tablet. This makes Celcom the 3rd Malaysian telco to offer the Playbook after Maxis and U Mobile. It is currently shown as coming soon but the plans and bundling options have been revealed on their website from as low as RM888 for 24 months contract on business plans.
All 3 BlackBerry Playbook models (16GB/32GB/64GB) are being offered. Existing Celcom customers can opt to get it together with a BlackBerry Smart Phone or as a standalone with further extension on existing BlackBerry contract.

Celcom Exec
For Celcom Exec, you have a single contract option of 12 months and 2 plan types – Package 138 and Package 168. Both are on Celcom Exec 50 plan and the difference lies on BlackBerry data packages. For bundling, the cheapest option would be to pair a BlackBerry Curve 9300 for RM688 and Playbook 16GB for RM1488 on Package 138.
For existing customers under contract, you can get the Playbook standalone with a contract extension for another year.
Celcom Biz
For business users, there are 2 contract options – 12 months and 24 months. 2 plans on offer are Package 138 and Package 168.
