Alamo Drafthouse, a cinema in the US that is a movie haven for the people of Austin Texas has a strict, zero-tolerance policy when it comes to mobile phone use in its theaters.
Apparently one patron breached this strict policy and got kick-out after being repeatedly warned no to text. Obviously angered by this, the movie-goer left a very expressive voicemail to justify herself which the theater converted into a PSA to remind others not to text. Brilliant!
But we have to admit, removing the offender for texting is a bit OTT. So long as the phone is in silent and the screen is not too bright and it is not done throughout the whole movie we think a fair compromise can be had.
Having said that though, we totally think Malaysian cinemas should affect stricter enforcement for loudmouths yapping on their mobiles while a movie is playing. Eviction is a very fair and befitting punishment for these dungus. Don’t you think?
On a side note, this video smells of viral campaign done to promote the establishment in question. Hmm…
