While there are still people in world still standing in line to get their iPad 2s, these dudes are drop testing theirs
Two perfectly working iPad 2s were sacrificed in the name of science. In the video you’ll see the iPads being dropped screen side first onto a concrete sidewalk from waist height — one with a Smart Cover attached, the other completely bare naked.
It obvious that the naked iPad will be damaged, but how much damage, that is the question. What about the iPad with the Smart Cover attached? How did it fair in the drop test. Is the Smart Cover just a pretty face?
We won’t spoil it for you. Take a click and see what happens. If you haven’t gotten your iPad yet, we recommend you don’t watch this very graphic video.
Bonus video after the jump. BlackBerry PlayBook drop test. Enjoy?
