Update: Latest info from LG PR. The LG Optimus 2X official final price is indeed RM1,899 (not limited to the first 300 units as earlier thought). In terms of availability LG tells us that between now until end April, the Optimus 2X can be purchased without contract at selected LG brand stores. From May 1 onwards, the device will be available through all open channels. We’re still awaiting a response from LG on where exactly these selected outlets are.
There’s something special sizzling during the F1 fever this weekend. The LG Optimus 2X is now available in Malaysia with outright price of RM1899, exclusive to Celcom. For the first 300 units, Celcom is offering the LG Optimus 2X with additional RM100 discount and free HDMI cable which makes it as low as RM878.
According to the LG Blog, the LG Optimus 2X is available at LG Technology centre and at 4 selected Celcom Blue Cube outlets at Pavilion, Bangsar, Mid Valley and Sunway Pyramid.
Being the first dual-core Android device in Malaysia, the asking price below RM2000 is quite reasonable for its specs. So far no updates from Celcom’s website yet but if you are interested, do check out the venues above.
