BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 slated for June/July global launch

RIM is going big with touchscreens for 2011 by introducing more touchscreen devices into their BlackBerry product line-up.

One such device that will definitely get Berry fans excited is the BlackBerry Bold Touch. The Bold Touch is a BlackBerry in the very familiar Bold form factor but with the addition of a touchscreen. We know its way too early to say this but the Bold Touch could very well be the best BlackBerry ever. We see a lot of potential in this touch-type device.

The Bold Touch features a larger 2.8″ capacitive touchscreen with 640×480px resolution, a 5.0MP camera with — thankfully — 720p HD video recording and possibly a 1.2GHz processor. The Bold Touch looks to bigger than the Bold 9700, due to its larger screen. This also makes the QWERTY keypad bigger like which hopefully will translate to more comfortable typing. We’re not a fan of the 9700’s keypad. At the back, the backplate looks like it’s made out of carbon fibre — sexy.

If you’re wondering The Bold Touch will be released, word has it that RIM will make an official announcement at BlackBerry World in early May with a global release slated around June/July.
