Tembo Trunks: Indestructable portable amplifiers for your iDevice

Portable speakers are great for sharing music and other sounds from you iDevice but the thing is most are not terribly practical when your on the move. Enter the Tembo Trunks.

These virtually indestructible, specially designed rubber cones amplify the sound coming out from the standard iDevice earbuds up to 80dB and doesn’t require any external power source. Ingeniously simple.

The guys behind the Tembo Trunks idea are currently looking for funding on Kickstarter to get their project of the ground. They’ve already exceeded their minimum goal of US$10k and are closer to US$20k now. If you want to get your hands on a Tembo Trunk, the minimum pledge of one is US$40.
