The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is no stranger thanks to tons of leaks for several months now. So the covers are finally off with the final specs and features. The Xperia Play is the first ever PlayStation Certified smart phone which claims to provide unparalleled gaming experience with its robust gaming buttons.
It runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1GHz Scorpion ARMv7 processor with Adreno 205 GPU. The 4″ FWVGA multi-touch display is capable of 854×480 resolution
and it comes with a 5.1 MP camera with assisted flash at the rear. On board, there’s 400MB of storage and in addition it comes with a 8GB microSD card for extra storage.
Among the games available are Need for Speed, Sims 3, Multiplayer version of FIFA 10 for mobile and more titles are coming soon from various content partners such as Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Namco Bandai Networks and Sony Computer Entertainment. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play starts shipping in March and comes available in white and black colour options.
