Swype breaks hands-free typing record by a Quadriplegic

Swype, our favourite keyboard had earlier broken the world record for fastest texting on a phone. This time they had broken another speed record for hands-free typing.

Hank Torres who is partially paralysed from the shoulder down had set a new record using Swype assisted with a head tracking device for his attempt. Even with such challenging condition, he managed to complete the following text just slightly over 83 seconds.
“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”

This is an amazing feat and certainly benefit computer users with physical disabilities. Check out the video of the world record attempt after the jump.
