Apple releases joint Verizon and AT&T commercial. Nice to see an ad like this here

The biggest news in the US the past week was the iPhone 4’s launch on Verizon’s network. It’s big news because, previously the iPhone was the exclusive domain of AT&T in the US and while many adore the device, a number of others blasted the AT&T network for poor data service and call connections. Americans didn’t have a choice. Like it or not, if they wanted an iPhone, they had to sign-up with AT&T. So it is understandable that a new operator offering the iPhone is a big deal in a mobile market as big as the US.

The thing that caught our attention is Apple’s treatment of this situation, it’s obvious in the ad that you’ll see after the jump that Apple’s stance is simple — choice is good and you can never have too much of a good thing. And that’s awesome. We like that approach.

Now in Malaysia, unlocked iPhones and the option to choose between three operators that offer the device is nothing new, it’ll be nice however to see similar types of ads running in Malaysia. Don’t you think?
