Mr. Hefner got quite a number of people very excited when he tweeted that his trademark publication will be available on the iPad with all the trimmings.
The internet jumped to the conclusion that there will be some form of concession given to content similar to Hef’s publication to allow porn to be available in the App Store. Turns out it was all a little premature and what the smut mogul was referring to was actually a made for iPad website allowing subscribers to access the full Playboy library though the iPad’s web browser.
So there you have it. Apple’s policy of not allowing porn in the App Store still stands and anyone wanting to log on to playboy.com from Malaysia will be sorely disappointed as the Government has blocked that domain quite a while a go.
