This is interesting. Nokia which previously pushed aside the idea of releasing Android devices is now looking elsewhere. It is now rumoured that the Finnish smart phone maker has been in talks with Microsoft on a possible alliance.
The current Nokia CEO Stephen Elop who was formerly from Microsoft was said to be meeting up with Microsoft on possible release of Windows Phone 7 devices. There are no additional details on the type of devices but indications are showing that such collaboration is still alive and we might be seeing something in the middle of next year.
If it really comes true, this might give Nokia some serious boost that it deserves. Hopefully this diversification of OS offering will help Nokia to regain a place on the high-end smart phone segment.
