Word Lens iPhone app translates with iPhone camera

Translation can be a problem when you’re at foreign land. Now there’s a cool translating app that translate with your iPhone camera! It looks ridiculously simple as taking a pic say of a signboard and it gets translated to your own language.

However it only does English to Spanish and Spanish to English which isn’t much of a use right now unless you’re heading to Spain soon. It is going for half price at $4.99 on the App Store but there’s a FREE demo version for you to try out. Earlier we saw something similar on a Chinese translation app called Pleco that uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to translate Chinese text on the fly.

Get the Word Lens via iTunes link here.
