Samsung sold over 1 million units of Galaxy Tab

The 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tab has surpassed its 1 million units milestone. Launched just 2 months ago in over 64 countries, the achievement is impressive considering it goes head on with its bigger iPad rival. As comparison, Apple sold about 2 million units in 2 months time.

In Malaysia, we’re one of the first in the world to get it when it was launched on 21st October with Maxis as its exclusive telco. It is sold at RM2699 outright and from as low as RM1749 with a 24 months contract. Compared to the recent official iPad pricing in Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab is a tough choice to consider especially when one can get an iPad 3G 16GB for just RM1999 without contracts. We also won’t be expecting Dell to release their delayed Dell Streak in Malaysia anytime soon unless they plan to price it competitively against the iPad.

Don’t forget to check out our first impression of the Samsung Galaxy Tab here.
