Interest in iPhone dwindling

So says a survey done by ChangeWave Research, an independent US research firm.

ChangeWave took responses from 4,000 smartphone users in the US to gauge the trend of smartphone platforms and what the market perception is.

Data from ChangeWave shows that interest for Android devices are now at its highest ever with 37% of the respondents saying that the are looking to purchase an Android based device while interest for iPhones have dropped from 50% in June to just 38% in September 2010. You’ll recall that Apple launched the iPhone 4 in June and even it’s latest wonder device couldn’t stop interest for Android devices to rise.

In addition to interest, ChangeWave also looks at customer satisfaction in using the platforms and from the survey 74% said they we’re very satisfied with the iOS platform and 65% of Android users feel the same about their platform of choice.
