HTC codename Ace looking like a mashup between HTC EVO and Desire

We’ve been following the developments of the HTC Ace very closely and it’s looking to become one of the most anticipated devices to come from HTC to date.

For those of you are not familiar with the HTC Ace, it’s the codename for HTC’s next flagship Android device. Specs wise, nothing is confirmed yet but word has it that the Ace will record 720p HD videos, pack an 8MP camera, powered by 1GHz processor with 4GB on board memory and run Android 2.2 (FroYo). All this will be wrapped in a unibody aluminium body first seen on the HTC Legend.

It all looks very enticing indeed and now we have a video purported to be an early prototype of the HTC Ace which is slated to be called the HTC Desire HD when it hits the market reportedly this October.

The video reveals more details on the Ace, the front place looks very much like the HTC EVO and there’s a dual LED flash also like the HTC EVO. What’s interesting on the video is what we believe looks like a secondary mic located right next of the LED flash.

If you look carefully at minute 0:28 onwards, you’ll be able to see the secondary mic hole very clearly inboard of the LED flash. Overall it looks like a solid device that will definitely give the overrated iPhone 4 a run for its money.

Head on over to after the jump for the video presentation on the HTC Ace.
