HP’s Personal Systems Group VP has announced that HP will not be introducing a Windows Phone 7 device. This is a big blow as HP has been a long term partner of Microsoft smartphones since the early days of iPaQ Pocket PCs.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise as HP has put in a huge commitment with its purchase of Palm and its WebOS platform. HP puts much importance on what they believe is the best experience via WebOS which is their sole focus at the moment. So don’t expect any Microsoft Windows Phone or even Android devices from HP anytime soon.
