While Android customers are ranting about the arrival of Froyo to their devices, Android Central has a scoop on the next Android update codename Gingerbread.
The new Gingerbread is reported to have major user interface change and may have a minimum required spec of 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM. So for those owning devices below 1GHz such as HTC Legend/Wildfire or Moto Droid shouldn’t be putting much hopes of getting it.
While Froyo is not fully available yet, Gingerbread is rumoured to come this year which we’re expecting pretty late towards year end if there’s no delay. So if you’re looking to get a new Android device, we highly recommend one running 1GHz with minimum Android 2.1 pre-installed.
