HTC EVO 4G tortured with razor, keys & screws

After seeing iPhones and iPads being broken, beaten and blended, how about an Android for a change? A forummer Roman G from Android Forums puts his HTC EVO 4G to the test with various torture test on its large screen.

According to Roman, he was going to return the device to Sprint for replacement as there’s a defect with his unit. Towards the end of the video, you’ll see that the screen pops up when pressure is applied on the sides. Since he’s getting a replacement, he figured why not conduct such “experiment” before it goes back to Sprint.

Video after the jump

The first video isn’t clear enough to show the condition of the screen after the torture, so here’s a second video shot outdoors.

Roman also did test scratching the glass for the camera but ended up scratched. This of course wasn’t shown in the video.

From the looks of it, HTC’s EVO 4G is quite durable to withstand a bunch of keys in your pocket. That said, it is obvious that you would still need to take good care of your device. Roman mentions in the forum that this test is solely to prove the toughness of the glass but still advises you to get the necessary screen protector and good gadget care habits.

Interesting demo but we still wonder will it blend? 🙂
