LIVE Coverage: HTC Desire Malaysia Launch

Update [1346hrs]: Oddly, the HTC Desire is only available at Maxis Centres from tomorrow onwards.

No sales target figures we’re mentioned. When asked on the upcomiing HTC Wildfire, they declined to mention when it will be available in Malaysia however they told the floor to expect for more HTC launches this year.

Q&A Session. HTC Country Manager SK Wong mentioned that HTC Hero update to Android 2.1 will be ready by end of June. However he declined reveal any details for existing HTC Legend and Desire possible upgrade to the latest Android 2.2 (Froyo).

Maxis tweeted the official price for the HTC Desire. The subsidised price is RM1499 with contract of add on data plan of 500MB, 1.5GB or 3GB. RM2199 for outright purchase without contract.
