DiGi’s Bola! Bola! Bola! campaign

DiGi‘s running a football themed promo campaign in what we believe is a “ride the wave” effort to the run up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The promo consists of contest that offers free SMS and trips to any football match in the world as prizes. DiGi’s also offering special edition prepaid top-up cards along with some paid content services revolving around football updates based on SMS and MMS with news alerts, caller tunes and fantasy football availabe for purchase.

That’s all pretty standard stuff. What’s interesting is the viral video campaign that’s accompanying the Bola! Bola! Bola! promo. It’s a series of 24-styled short episodes on YouTube around a misterious yellow ball and what’s inside it. Currently at its third installment, we can’t really make what it’s all about.

When it comes to viral campaigns, DiGi’s a pro. We even have a sneaky feeling that DiGi is also behind the ThePackcik.com but we can’t confirm this for now. In the meantime we’re keeping a close eye on how its “What’s inside the yellow ball?” campaign will unfold. It’s definitely an interesting watch.

Check out all three videos after the jump.
