First, we have the youngest iPad user at two years old, now we find the oldest iPad user on the planet. At 99 years of age, one woman in the US says the iPad has changed her life.
The avid reader is unfortunately hard of seeing as she is suffering from glaucoma, which affects her vision and makes it difficult for her to read books.
Enter the iPad to the rescue. The device’s accesibility options and its ability to change fonts and increase screen brightness has given the woman the ability to read again. It has “changed her life,” according to one of her daughters.
Interestingly, the iPad is also the woman’s first computer. She’s even used the device’s virtual keyboard to write limericks, like this one about her new Apple tablet:
To this technology-ninny it’s clear
In my compromised 100th year,
That to read and to write
Are again within sight
Of this Apple iPad pioneer.
Other things the iPad is good at, DJ mixing and running a government.
What will the iPad do next?
Check out video of the oldest iPad user on the planet after the jump. Bonus video, a cute 2-year old using the iPad for the first time.
