U Valentine Day Special

February 14 is coming and U Mobile is doing something special for Valentine’s Day.

They just launched a microsite at www.heartu.com.my where they are running a number of events & activites around the Valentine theme.

Firstly the site launches onto a heart shape dedication area and from the looks of it, the first 888 who post their dedications would be entitled to win exclusive designed U couple shirts. From the instruction, the 888 lucky winners would need to collect their couple shirts at Sunway Pyramid on 14th February itself. And that’s not all…

With the couple shirts collected, there will be some photo shooting of the couples which will be posted on the site.  This is where a voting mechanism will take place to pick the best looking couple on the microsite and they could win up to RM350 Borders voucher.

We find that the contest prize in a form of Borders voucher is out of place as we would be expecting something more romantic since its Valentine’s day.

A little bit of digging on the microsite revealed that there’s another activity called “Struck by Cupid” where a cupid will be going on their rounds at Sunway Pyramid from 6th-14th February to struck some lucky couples. For this activity,  they are giving away a Romantic Gateaway, Phones and a Chocolate Spa for 2. The details are a unclear and it looks like this promo was done in a rush.

The site is eye catchy but we’re kinda lost as there are just too many things going on at the same time.
