5 New Plans in the Pipeline from P1

Try reading the title of this post really fast. Talk about a tongue twister.

That’s not the point though. The point here is P1 has recently announced that it will be launching 5 new plans soon.

How soon? Next week soon, February 2 to be exact.

Excerpt from the Bernama report:

P1 chief executive officer Michael Lai said the new plans would replace the current promotional packages and end its free modem offer on February 1.

“It comprises three home plans to meet the needs of personal users and two office plans designed for business,” he said in a statement today.

Lai said for the new plans on 12-month contract, subscribers have to pay a subsidised amount for the WiMAX modem valued at RM999.

Reading between the lines, new subscribers could be paying up front fees for the new plans as opposed to the current promotion of no upfront payment to subscribe to P1. The promo ends February 1.

That’s the bad thing, the good thing is…little data packets (as opposed to little birds) inside P1 is telling us that P1 will also be introducing an unlimited data plan for home users.

That means for a fee, home users will be able to download and upload an unlimited amount of data as opposed to the now 20GB fair usage policy imposed by P1.

To us paying a fee for anything is always a bad thing but the option for home users to have access to unlimited data is a good thing. So we can’t wait to see what Michael Lai has up its sleeve.
