The Huawei P8 will be launched in South Pacific region with pre-orders to start in Malaysia tomorrow. If you’re looking for something more affordable, the P8 Lite appears to be heading to our way.
A new Huawei device ALE-L21 has just being spotted in our Malaysian SIRIM database. Looks like this would be hitting our shores along with the P8 in mid-June.
Spec wise the P8 Lite is said to have a 5″ HD 720p display, a 1.2GHz Octa-Core Kirin 620 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage. It also gets a 13MP rear and 5MP cameras, along with a 2,200mAh capacity battery. The processor is similar to the Honor 4X but it comes with a tiny 2,200mAh battery. The P8 Lite also runs on Android 5.0 like its P8 siblings and it runs on their proprietary Emotion UI 3.1 on top.
The Huawei P8 in the other hand offers a higher spec offering with a 5.2″ Full HD display with Kirin 930/935 processor mated to 3GB of RAM. On-board there’s 16GB of storage with a microSD expandable slot. For imaging, it gets a 13MP OIS main shooter plus a larger 8MP front camera. . You can check out our brief hands-on from the Huawei ICT Roadshow. Stay tuned as we are currently in Singapore for the regional launch to give you the latest updates on the Huawei P8 availability and pricing in Malaysia.
