We’ve seen it a couple of times and now the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is officially revealed. The new Vibe Z2 Pro is a phablet on steroids with its large 6″ display that does a whopping Quad HD resolution. Pixel density wise, it won’t be as high as other flagship models but its 490ppi (pixels per inch) would be definitely sharper than any Full HD screens in the market.
Powering the beast is a top-of-the-line 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. For taking pictures, it goes for a higher 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and it comes with a host of Pro-Camera features that looks similar to Nokia’s Pro Cam. Over at the front, it gets a 5MP shoot which is more than adequate for your selfie needs.
Underneath its brushed aluminium weave unibody case is a whopping 4,000mAh capacity battery and it manage to squeeze all that into its super slim 7.7mm form factor. The Vibe Z2 Pro is said to be available starting in September with 3 colour options – Titanium, Gold and Black. For those looking for a high-end device in a more compact size, there was a purported image of a smaller Vibe Z2 smart phone which is rumoured to be a Vibe Z2 Mini. Overall the Vibe Z2 Pro is ticking the right boxes for a new flagship device and it is certainly a giant leap over its current Vibe Z smart phone. The bar has been set pretty high and it is interesting to see how far would the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 fare when it gets announced next month.
